The mass meeting in Danville is so crowded that it overflows out into the yard. When word arrives that heavily armed police and an armored vehicle are waiting up the road, the crowd disperses, leaving the SNCC workers to exit last, from "Memories of the Southern Civil Rights Movement"

The scene shows a group of buildings with white colored rooftops. Two buildings rise up in the foreground on the right and left. The right building has a red side with vertical lines hashed into it. The left building has two white triangles on its roof. In the middle ground is a smaller building with a green-domed tower rising up the middle of the composition. A small red figure stands on the white ground to the right of this tower. The background shows the large white rooftop of another building, with small dark rooflines of buildings visible behind it.

A church spire rises in the center of the strongly vertical composition, flanked by a group of tall, thin trees on the left, and a pair of the same trees on the right. Gently rounded mountains rise in the background against a soft blue sky. A stretch of bright green grass dominates the foreground of the composition, and church-goers leave the rustic stone church via a tan-colored path in the middleground.

This highly detailed drawing in a vertical format depicts the interior of a gothic cathedral looking up at the soaring rib-vaulted ceiling. It appears as though every brick and architectural detail is rendered. The image provides a view into the choir and a transept to the right, which is decorated with a very ornate rose window. <br />

The print is a narrow view down a walkway, with buildings rising up on the right and left. The buildings on the right are in shadow, while the buildings on the right are in light. The cathedral in the background is depicted with fainter line work than the rest of the print. In the right foreground is a figure sitting, and other figures walk along the street.
