This black and white print depicts an animated and detailed scene of nude figures and mythical beasts on the surface of the sea.Two men, with seaweed hair and riding half horse/half fish creatures, strike out at each other. A man and a woman ride a beast with a scaly body and the head of a fierce dog. In the background, a man holding a trident stands with his back to the viewer. Action and motion are expressed with billowing drapery, flowing hair and moving waves. The wide mouthed expressions of the figures and animals suggest yelling and noise in this chaotic scene. Among the many details depicted by the artist is a plaque held by the woman that has his initials.

This sober, pyramidal composition consists of five figures within an interior. A seated woman and child occupy the center of the composition while flanking her to the left is a kneeling older woman with her left hand on the child her right hand on the cradle. To the right of the seated woman is a putti holding a ewer and standing next to a basin. Standing behind the seated woman is a standing woman with hands raised. All of the women are dressed in generalized classical drapery.

Study for a Chapel in Vienna
This study depicts a rectangular chapel with the side walls bent outward at an angle in order to provide a clearer view of the decoration. The chapel design centers upon a sarcophagus placed beneath a painted altarpiece of the Virgin and Child, which are both set within a semicircular architectural projection that extends dynamically from the wall. On the left the pair of angels that support a large oval-shaped painting reach vigorously outward, their wings overlapping the pilasters. On the right appears another sarcophagus surmounted by a pair of putti. Leaning out from the oval niche above the sarcophagus is a female half-figure—probably a portrait of the deceased—making a gesture of devotion toward the altar.

A bust-length study of a bearded man appears on one side of this sheet. His torso faces frontally, but his head is turned in 3/4 profile to his left. He wears a shirt with a collar and a hat with a plume. The reverse of the sheet is filled with approximately 12 small sketches of heads, faces, limbs, and full-length figures. A sketch of a radial star shaped decorative pattern is on the right edge. In the middle of the sheet is a basket of fruit and flowers and in the upper left there is a drawing of a figure rowing a boat in a landscape.

These ink sketches, on a portion of a larger sheet, depict different female heads, most ornamented with accessories. A study of a woman’s face in profile fills the upper left corner. Her hair is bound. A nearly frontal view of another woman’s face is at the center bottom of the sheet. She looks down to her left and wears a jeweled headpiece or crown. Three other smaller and more lightly sketched heads also appear on the sheet, two along the left edge and one on the right.

Title plate beneath print indicates that the fragments were from ancient Rome and found in various ancient ruins, with the exception of fragment XLIX, currently (at time of print) in the collection of the Collegio Romano, a building then housing the Jesuits' Rome seminary.<br />Print is patched. Separate plate marks are visible between image and inscription. The image is patched from four segments, while the text below is patched from two segments. Paper bears no watermark. Folio fold marks are noted on copy in file. This drawing depicts two addorsed female figures reclining on a triangular slope. The women are partly clothed, and the one on the left wears an elephant-shaped headpiece. Between their shoulders appears a blank escutcheon held by two putti. Nude men in the background strain to hold back piles of objects that include shields and spears.

This bronze plaque features a pair of oxen pulling a four-wheeled wagon with six passengers. The seated driver holds a rod in his right hand and a two-tined fork in his left. An older figure holding a flaming vessel stands behind him, followed by a seated figure wearing classical drapery and a laurel wreath. The next figure, seated in the middle of the cart, is an older female, nude to the waist, who holds a cornucopia full of fruit and raises her left hand to point skyward. Two smaller standing figures appear next, one holding a bowl of fruit. The final figure is a reclining female nude holding a flower in the crook of her right arm.

This maiolica dish is covered by a radial pattern consisting of abstract leaves and curling tendrils punctuated with flowers all centered around a yellow disk in the center of the well. The harmony of the design stems from radial symmetry of the pattern as well as the restricted palette of blue and a soft brass-yellow.

Her white body contrasts starkly with the darker tones of the surrounding landscape. Two women clad in flowing robes sit beneath a curved colonnade at the center of this delicately painted scene. The woman on the left, wearing a blue mantle, holds a lyre in her right hand and leans toward her companion, who holds open a musical score on her lap to which she points with her right hand. Books are piled on the steps next to the woman on the left and a putto sits next to her with a scroll unrolled across his lap. A second putto stands next to the other seated woman and plays a viol. A winged putto hovers over the heads of the two women, holding a small trumpet in his left hand and a laurel crown in his right, which he is about to place on the head of the woman with the lyre. Two bust-length portraits of men in oval frames wreathed with laurel hang from the columns in the background.

This leaf from a manuscript contains seven lines of Latin text with musical notation. The initial letter, &quot;C,&quot; of the opening word &quot;Confessio&quot; is made from a curved vegetal form. The text is preceded by a painted miniature in a circular frame that is, in turn, enclosed by a golden square. The miniature depicts a man with a tonsure and a golden halo standing in a verdant landscape. He holds a palm leaf in his left hand and rests his right hand on a grill. The left and upper margins of the page are decorated with green and pink leaves and flowers and small gold circles.

This etching portrays a lively tavern scene in the 17th century Dutch Republic.The large room has rough plank walls and a stone floor. There is an open hearth on the right and a long table with a bench in the background. There are many figures engaged in various activities, but most are clustered around a seated man playing a violin. One man stands to watch, another, with arms upraised, is singing and a woman tends to a young child. The scene is depicted in great detail and there is lettering on the bottom of the print.

Although not a reproduction of a particular work of art, Raimondi’s engraving is based on the work of other artists. The central group, for example, is dominated by a large figure of Saint Anne standing behind the seated Virgin Mary, who lowers her gaze towards the playful Christ child in her lap. This composition recalls works by Raimondi’s contemporaries Leonardo da Vinci (1452–1519) and Raphael (1483–1520) in which a pyramidal arrangement of figures gives them a monumental presence. The woman leaning over the cradle to the left of the central group is Saint Elizabeth. On the right, a winged putto stands behind a water basin holding an ewer. The domestic setting is demarcated by suggestions of architecture, furnishings, a fireplace, and a heavy curtain that appears in a few other religious compositions by the artist.

Subject matter
Marcantonio Raimondi has long been associated with the Roman works of Raphael and Marcantonio's engravings are often more than mere transcription of Raphael's works. The classical balance and monumentality of this work suggest that this engraving is derived from a design by Raphael. The Virgin and Child with the standing figure behind may also be a reference to Leonardo's "Virgin and St. Anne".

Physical Description
This sober, pyramidal composition consists of five figures within an interior. A seated woman and child occupy the center of the composition while flanking her to the left is a kneeling older woman with her left hand on the child her right hand on the cradle. To the right of the seated woman is a putti holding a ewer and standing next to a basin. Standing behind the seated woman is a standing woman with hands raised. All of the women are dressed in generalized classical drapery.
