Subject matter
Buky Schwartz was an Israeli who trained as a sculptor. In addition to his sculptures, he was well known for his video structures which combined video projections, painting, and structural objects. His work was a playful interaction between sculptural appearance and physical reality, according to Bill Judson, Curator of Film & Video, Carnegie Museum, Pittsburgh, on Schwartz's website. This piece is playful, as the line is really a snarl of colorful yarn, making it very sculptural in the dimensionality of the yarn. It also has elements of Conceptual art in the instructions for its creation in the stampled label at the top of the print indicating title, size, material, date, and place. See also "Line A-B", UMMA 2012/1.221.

Physical Description
This mixed media collage consists of a long skein of yarn of varying colors attached at point A at the top of the print, creating a jumbled mass of yarn below and exiting at point C, also at the top of the canvas.
