Camera Work, issue no. 9, and unlike the majority of prints, was reproduced as a halftone print from a gum bichromate print. The grainy quality of this image can be attributed multiple printing process used. The image is printed in an unusual format, with the subject cropped vertically, filling the entire narrow frame. The woman wears an elegant beaded dress that appears to be made of silk. She holds a rose in between her hands, its long stem extending almost the entire length of her body. She looks to the left, her expression calm.
Physical DescriptionThis image is an unusually-formatted vertical and very narrow portrait of a young woman. The woman wears a long silk gown and holds a rose.
