I created this exhibition to represent how I feel about the color pink. Growing up, I thought that liking the color pink meant I was a girly girl and couldn't stand up for myself. Now as an adult, I realize that that way of thinking had to do with misogyny and the idea that to be feminine and accept feminine things was weak. I was wrong a child. Loving things that are feminine don't make you weak, but strong. I love the color pink and florals. There's nothing wrong about enjoying things that make you happy.

I included artworks with a wide range of mediums and time periods to show that women are powerful in every time period and shown in any way. As you take a look through the artwork, think of them and power and beauty. Think Pink.

Subject matter
This photograph features the gable of a house's roof. The subject matter is tightly cropped on both sides; the tips of the two eaves nearly touch the bottom corners of the image. The light of the sunset shines obliquely from above, illuminating most of the gable, while leaving the bottom part of the house in shadows. A pair of sliding windows are affixed to the gable, directly catching the golden orange sunlight, while a propped-open skylight window on the side of the roof radiates the reflected light from within. A small crescent moon hangs in the mauvish pink sky.

Physical Description
Photograph represents the peaked upper-most portion of a house at sunset. The sky casts red, orange, purple and blue colors against the building. The house has many windows and a skylight.
