Credit LineMuseum PurchaseSubject matterRauschenberg constructed several prints similar to this one with found photographs from newspaper printing plates. One image appears to be of soldiers in a drill or combat while others show maps and a political figure. The combination of photographs and brush strokes is consistent with Rauschenberg's practice.
Physical DescriptionIn this montage of a print, photographs and swaths of dark ink in varying thicknesses are layered over each other. In the lower left there are three overlapping rings, elsewhere there are figures.
