Subject matter
A photograph from a portfolio of images in which Helmut Newton depicts celebrities, designers and models in highly contrived poses and often placed in decadent scenes. In this photograph, two female models embrace and kiss. The first woman is nude and her arm extends stiffly as if she is a mannequin. The second wears a suit that exposes her chest as she embraces the nude woman within this decorated interior space.
