Subject matter
In this photograph, eight agricultural laborers raise their machetes as they look out toward the viewer; joyous expressions mark many of their faces.  The reason for their celebratory dispositions is ambiguous. These figures take up most of the lower register of the photograph, while the top half is mostly blank, white sky, which is pierced through by the crisscrossing blades of the harvesting implements.

Physical Description
A line of men in workers' garb raise machetes with joyous expressions on their faces.
