First Grade Tour: Art on the Move

Description: Students will explore how artists can use movement to tell a story, to express an emotion, or to engage an audience. This tour engages both scientific understanding of motion and the metaphorical meaning of movement in art.


Concepts: Science (Observe how pushes and pulls can change the speed or direction of moving objects) and Art (Describe the sensory qualities in a work).
