Figures outside the restaurant are wearing patterned tunics, tall socks and shoes, and tall conical hats with plumes of feathers. The figures inside the establishment are wearing sombreros.

In the lower right corner of the image, the head of a man with dark hair and a mustache is seen from the back. He sits in an armchair, gazing up at a raven perched on the helmeted head of a white classical bust. The bust is placed atop the frame of a simplified door. A mass of quickly-drawn black slashes surround the raven, stretch down diagonally from the door frame into the space of the seated man.<br />

This black and white print shows a winter mountain scene with steep snow covered peaks and a compound of buildings in the pass between them. There is a large crowd of soldiers, some on foot and some on horseback, who are gathered around their commander. He stands on a snowy rise and points to a friar who holds a basket of bread. Other friars walk among the foot soldiers to distribute bread. There is French writing below the scene that identifies the title, artist and publisher of the print.

This lithograph is printed is tones of brown ink on cream colored paper. There is a large dappled horse standing in a stall with its left rear hoof raised. On the left, a man, standing with feet braced and muscular arms extended, uses tools to attach a shoe to the horse's hoof. Steam billows from the hot metal shoe. On the right, a man stands leaning against the stall and a small child reaches up toward the horse's head. The horse bends its head down toward the child. There is an English inscription below this scene that identifies the artist, title and publisher.
