Physical DescriptionA young woman, dressed in diaphanous and flowing drapery and a scarf or kerchief over her hair, is seen sitting with legs crossed before a bed in which a child is lying. The woman is in profile, leaning to the right as she brings her face close to that of the child. The child is summarily sketched except for the head.
