Credit LineGift of the artistSubject matterIn his photographic works, Andersen shows the mark of human activity on landscape. This photograph shows plough lines, visible in the brown land. Part of a larger series of aerial landscapes he created in the 1980s, this scene moves between legibility as a landscape and mere abstract patterning. The plough lines mimick the line of shrubbery, as if creating ripples in a pond.
