Subject matter
A photograph from a portfolio of images in which Helmut Newton depicts celebrities, designers and models in highly contrived poses and often placed in decadent scenes. In this photograph, the designer and daughter of Pablo Picasso, Paloma Picasso, poses with wet hair combed back and shiny, tense lips. The left side of her dress hangs down, her exposed breast covered by a glass she holds. The dress is by Karl Lagerfeld for Chloé. The photograph was made in Saint-Tropez in Lagerfeld's home.

Physical Description
This photograph depicts a 3/4-view of a woman in dress. One strap of her dress has been removed, exposing her breast, to which the woman presses a drinking glass.
