Boldt, Jr.Subject matterNoli Me Tangere belongs to the "Album de la Revue Blanche," a portfolio of prints by artists associated with La Revue Blanche, a periodical featuring art and literature. The album featured works of several members of the Nabis group, to which Roussel also belonged, and was published in Paris in 1895 by L'Estampe Originale. This print refers to Christ warning Mary Magdelene not to touch him once she recognized him after his resurrection.
