Subject matter
Actor Ichikawa Danjūrō VII, also known as Ichikawa Ebizō V, was born in 1791.  He began acting in kabuki at the age of four.  He was known for a wide variety of role types.  He died in 1859.

Physical Description
The woman standing in this print wears a brown robe with a blue and green sash.  She holds a wooden sword close to her chin.  The sliding screens in the background are painted with trees and flowers against a blue background.
