Subject matter
Actor Iwai Shijaku I, also known as Iwai Hanshirō VII, was the oldest son of Iwai Hanshirō V.  He was born in 1804 and died in 1845.

Physical Description
In this print, a woman looks behind her from the floor on her hands and knees.  Her feet are bare.  She wears a brown plaid robe and blue sash.  A wooden sword is on the floor near her hands.  The sliding screens in the background are painted with trees and flowers against a blue background.
