In groups of 2-3, choose three works of art that you like or that make an impression on you.

For each work of art, note:

1. The title (if there is one)

2. The date

3. The artist’s name

   
   

   Discuss the following questions for each work of art: 

   1. What attracts you to this work of art? 

   2. Is it beautiful, in the traditional sense of the word? 

   3. How was the work made? 

   4. In your opinion, what could it represent? Does it reflect society? Particular groups? Individuals?

   5. Could you draw a message from this work of art? 

   6. In your opinion, what might be the artist’s intention for creating this work? 

      In your opinion, is it a work of art? Why (or why not)
