The central figure is Lishi Xian Guan, one of the gods of wealth. He was a pupil of Zhao Gongming, who is considered the military god of wealth. Lishi Xian Guan is holding up a plant with one hand, treature with the other, and he is surrounded by two followers. People look up to the wealth gods for good luck and prosperity, and protection from disasters and evil.
