This is a hanging scroll that includes three caligraphic inscriptions at the top, and depicts three figures. The caligraphy is inscribed on three squares of colored paper (red, white and green) decorated with an abstracted pattern of clouds painted in gold. The figure at the top of of the composition is a woman dressed in bright, patterned robes. She is seated behind a curtain that separates her from the two men in the lower half of the painting. The man closest to her appears older, and is seated by a box holding brushes and other tools for calipgraphy, and holds a brush and sheaf of paper. The third figure is seated in the lower left corner of the painting, and, like the other figures, wears voluminous robes, although his are less ornately patterend. In the bottom right corner of the painting is the artist's signature and red seal.

At the center of the mandala is Amidha Buddha, surrounded by other golden holy figures on clouds, indicated by the rings around their heads. On the ground surrounding the figures are seated men and women in variously colored robes. At the center and front of the holy beings is a man dressed in a grey robe seated under an awning. One of the holy figures is offering him a lotus blossom. <br />Behind the Buddha is a temple. To the left and right of this are partial views of smaller buildings. The background of the image also contains buildings and mountains, partially obscured by mist. Among the back mountains is a trail of clouds with other holy figures heading into the sky.

As the title suggests, this hanging scroll depicts a courtesan reading a book of erotica while being watched by a monk. This colorful painting is suspended in sky blue patterned silk. The focus of the painting, the woman, is colorfully painted with robes of many colors and designs. Her hair is tied in a purple cord in a half up half down look. The back of her neck is exposed away from the viewer. In the center of the painting, she rests on a green armrest with three books below it. Behind her is a translucent screen where the face of the monk can be seen. Above the scene to the upper left is a three-lined inscription. The fourth and last line is the artist&#39;s signature placed slightly lower than the rest of the inscriptions.&nbsp;
