This sculpture consists of a large smooth copper colored dome with abstract forms of the same copper colored steel extending from the edges and forward. The dome is cracked and welded together. Some of the abstract forms seem to be acting as repairs to hold it together.

Wooden mask in the form of a stylized human face. Large, round eyes sit below a prominent forehead. The ears are small semi-circles on each side of the head and the mouth is open to reaveal teeth. Human hair and natural fibers form the mask's headdress and beard.

A trapezoid base with 56 lengths of metal strings divided into 14 sets. Each set is wound around the pegs on each end. The inside cover is lined with paper and an x-shaped paper bracket is attached which holds the striking stick. The striker is a thin, carved bamboo stick.<br />

With a name that literally means &ldquo;Western zither,&rdquo; this melodic percussion instrument produces a clear metallic sound when its metal strings are struck with a thinly carved bamboo stick. Strung over its trapezoid base board are fifty-six lengths of wire divided into fourteen sets, so that each set comprises four lengths of wire wound around the pegs on the left and right sides. The inside of the cover is lined with paper; the same paper has been used to create an X-shaped bracket to hold the stick. The fact that this is not Korean traditional paper suggests that the yanggeum is imported. An ink inscription reading &ldquo;chilyeonjyu (칠연쥬)&rdquo; appears on the inside of the cover.<br />

Staff with a short cylindrical handle topped by two rectangular forms. The front of the staff contains two faces on the rectangular forms, while the back of the staff contains only one face. The bottom face is rectangular with three vertical marks on each cheek and zig-zag patterns along the forehead, while the upper face is round with three vertical marks on each cheek and five vertical marks on the forehead. Along the handle and rectangular projections there are incised zig-zag decorations.&nbsp;

A hand-held staff with a short cylindrical handle, topped by a kneeling female figure. The figure is holding two rectangular objects in both hands and is wearing a string of beads around her neck. The hair is in a tri-lobal shape with a curved protrusion at the top. A portion of the protrusion may have been broken off. &nbsp;
