In this strongly vertical composition, a tall archway frames a view of the chatoic maze of further arches, roofs, walls and windows along a small, winding side street. The artist selectively describes various material details, such as the stones and bricks of the walls, and the sagging tile roofs. All elements in the image seem to register the effects of time.<br /> The title “STREET IN PORTO MAURIZIO” is etched by hand in the plate just below the lower left edge of the composition.

A framed painting of a nude woman posed as if reclining against rocks in a small stream. The landscape she is in looks like a mountain valley; on either side of the painting are tall cliffs that come together as a river valley in the middle. The sky is dark and full of dark clouds, but in the distance rays of sunlight break through them to illuminate the distant cliffs and river.

A group of approximately five men, one dressed in blue robes and the rest nude, extend their arms and a white flag. They form a pyramid atop what appears to be floating on a raft in a turbulent body of water. Three figures are standing, facing away from the viewier, and two lay prone on their backs on the raft, one in the near foreground facing towards the viewer and the other facing away, with knees bent upwards. The painting is executed with thick strokes of gouache in shades of beige, gray, brown, blue and green.

A lithograph image of a group of nude men playing instruments and dancing. The right third of the image is composed of three men, one of whom is lying on the ground and one mid-dance with arms extended, done in line drawing without much detail.  The rest of the image shows three men dancing with musical instuments, one man sitting and a fifth man standing to the left side of the image.  These figures have more detail, shading and modeling. Various drink vessels are depicted in the scene as well and the figures to in the left portion of painting wear wreaths on their heads.
