LSA Building: It's History and It's Place at the University of Michigan

The LSA Building used to go by another name: the Administration building. The use and purpose of the building has since changed, along with its name. The LSA Building was built by the architectural firm known today as HED. This firm has a long history, both as architects for the University of Michigan and elsewhere.

What is the story behind this building and the firm that designed it? What controversy has surrounded this building? What's it like today? How do other buildings on University of Michigan's campus compare to the LSA Building? How have buildings on college campuses since changed? Six undergraduate students at the University of Michigan answer these questions, as part of the class Art of the American Century, Fall 2023.
