Subject matter
Bottle was created by being thrown on a potters wheel in the upright position, and the bottom reveals no traces of kiln spurs. The trademark 'Ingu' is incised on the upper surface. These bottoles were commonly used by the Japanese as household objects.

Physical Description
One side of the bottle is flattened so that it can be laid down horizontally. Cylindrical in form with a small hole on one side and a mouth on the upper part of the body. Decorated with an orchid design in blue.

One side of this bottle was flattened, so it could be laid down horizontally. It was thrown on a potter’s wheel and fired in an upright position. The clay body is revealed on the foot rim without any signs of using kiln spurs. This bottle is cylindrical in form with a small hole on one side and a mouth on upper part of the body. It is decorated with an orchid design. The trademark “Ingu (人久)” is incised on the upper surface. This bottle was used by Japanese as a household object.
