Subject matter
Gold-weight in the shape of possibly a seed pod. In shape it resembles other gold-weights directly cast from nature (cf. Phillips, African Goldweights, 2010, p. 40; Garrard, Akan Weights and the Gold Trade, 1980, p. 291).

Physical Description
Gold-weight in the shape of four overlapping squares with rounded edges, attached to a short, pointed stem.
