Subject matter
A yaozhou celadon dish of the Southern Song Dynasty (1127-1279). During the Northern Song and Jin dynasties (10th-13th centuries), high quality celadon wares were produced in northern China at the Yaozhou kilns, in modern Shaanxi province. Yaozhou ware bowls typically have delicately carved floral patterns on their interior.

Physical Description
A stoneware wide shallow dish with an everted rim on a footring.  The interior is combed and incised with floral meander, and it is covered in an olive green celadon glaze.  There is loss to the rim and side.
