Linburg was fascinated by the timeless balance between the masses and voids of classical architecture as well as its fragmentary state. She tried to create a sense of harmony and order by evoking the classical post and lintel system (columns supporting a horizontal member). She also tried to give a sense of the vitality of classical Greek architectural forms. In "Margarita" the slender columns suggest strength, but rather than supporting the expected solid lintel, they support a welter of curving forms that explode into a disordered ruins.
