Subject matter
As part of a portfolio created by the women-led studio "Tiger Lily Press," Grund's work shows the innovative printmaking techniques highlighted in this portfolio. The second group edition, produced at the 4th Street studio of the Press in Cinncinati, was titled "IMAGES" and was a compilation by six artists who self-published, packaged, and distributed the edition to various museum collections, including UMMA. The other artists included in the porfolio were Joan Effertz, Barbara Young, April Foster, Mary Mark, and Philippe LeJeune.

This works draws on interpretations of identity, human nature, and gender roles. Here, Grund's figures seem to provoke thoughts on the often uncomfortable nature of an encounter between a man and woman at night.

Physical Description
This print depicts two partially-clothed figures: on the left, a man holding a flashlight and on the right is a woman. He shines the flashlight towards the woman. The figures are rendered in dark black lines and partially colored in orange. The upper portion of the background includes washes of blue ink and the lower portion includes washes of green. The print is signed in the block "CG / 95" and signed and numbered in pencil.
