The Bikeriders series, Lyon decided to go South in search of a new project. He stopped in Knoxville, Tennessee, creating many unpublished works of the people in the town. Many of these images include young men and boys with automobiles. In this image, a young boy is seen standing, shirtless, in an auto shop, his hands covered in grease. He looks into the lens, almost smiling. Behind him, an older man sits in the lobby, smiling at the camera.
Physical DescriptionA photograph of a young boy with grease stains on his hands. He clutches a cloth in one hand. Behind him, an older man sits against the wall, under a telephone, smiling at the camera.
