The lines of this painting give a sense of movement and energy to the work which was something Mackey often aimed to show in his art. The Detroit-based artist was self-taught and provided inspiration and guidance for his grandson, Detroit artist Tyree Guyton.
Physical DescriptionThis painting is created from a found wooden board with a textured surface. Attached are staples and paper, and it is painted all-over in an off-white.
