Subject matter
Beach People is part of an ongoing series of work by Stephen DiRado. He began photographing at Aquinnah—formerly Gay Head, until 1997—in 1988. A section of the beach is clothing optional. The series unflinchingly documents the beachgoers, portraying a seemingly intimate view into the lives of the visitors.
