Subject matter
This photograph centers on a Budweiser advertisement sign on the rooftop of a building in St. Louis. The Budweiser logo--an eagle and an uppercase "A"--features prominently in the center of the image. The sign is pictured as a seemingly autonomous fragment, enlarged and dissociated from city life below by the tight cropping. The sense of enormity of scale is achieved by its juxtaposition against the small buildings in the distant background. The lateral edges of the sign, clipped by frame, further enhance the sign's large scale.

Physical Description
This photograph depicts the Budweiser Building sign in Saint Louis and nearby rooftop buildings during the day.
