Vases with dish-shaped mouths such as this became popular during the preceding six dynasties and continued into the Sui dynasty. Celadons such as this were produced in southern and central plains provinces of Shandong, Zhejiang, Hunan, Hubei, and Sichuan.
Physical DescriptionA globular vase tapering to the base and to a tall flaring neck with dish-shaped mouth. There are two double coiled handles applied to shoulders. It is covered in gray-green glaze.
