Subject matter
Representative of Florsheim's work in color lithography, his work often investigated the evidence of human existence amongst nature. This print seems to depict a mass of soldiers raising their weapons in the air. The abstracted, swirling forms cut across each other, referencing the confusion and chaos of war.  Florsheim himself served for the U.S. Forces in France and Germany during World War II.

Physical Description
This color lithograph shows an abstract image in black and red. There is a red background with a large grouping of abstracted circular forms in black, comprising the lower portion of the image. Long thin lines stretch from the group of figures towards the top of the image. The print is editioned (l.l.) "artist's proof" and signed (l.r.) "R.A. Florsheim" in pencil.
