Two men walk on foot, one towards the gate and another away from it. On the right, we see a group of two riding on mules, and a third rider behind, apparently not part of the group. There is another man walking alone in the foreground. Finally, there is a lone man walking into the arched gateway. This image minimizes the human subjects, however, and focuses on the geometric forms created by the architectural in the photograph. The photograph is comprised of similar tonal gradations ranging from mid to dark grays and blacks.
