TitleUntitled, from "The New York Collection for Stockholm: 30 Artists"
Artist(s)Mark di SuveroObject Creation Date1973Medium & Supportsilkscreen on paperDimensions 9 in x 12 in (22.86 cm x 30.48 cm)
Credit LineGift of Mr. Robert RauschenbergSubject matterMark Di Suvero is best known as the creator of sculptures composed of steel and other industrial materials. This print may be a study for one of di Suvero's sculptures. However rather than his signature I-beams, this work is composed of hardware. It is unclear whether this work could exist in real life, it may exist purely in the two dimensional plane. The expressive drawing style in thick black ink is almost painterly and seems to present the drafts for a three dimensional figure.

Physical DescriptionThis black and white print shows what could be a loose collection of hardware such as nuts and bolts, with the artist's signature in red beneath.
