Subject matter
This jun ware (钧窑 jun yao) bowl is of the Song Dynasty (960-1279).

Physical Description
This conical bowl on a straight footring is covered in a pale blue opaque glaze with a copper purple splash to the interior rim and side-wall. It is fused to the stoneware saggar in which it was fired, with cracks to the saggar.
