Subject matter
This unglazed, earthenware jar was coilbuilt and finished on a fast wheel. It is a globular food storage jar (罐 guan) with a flat base, wide neck, and two lug handles applied to shoulder. The body has the combed pattern of the Western Zhou Dynasty (1046-771 BCE).
