Credit LineGift of the Estate of Maxine W. Kunstadter in memory of Sigmund Kunstadter, Class of 1922Subject matterThis work is characteristic of Bolotowsky's work reflecting the influence of Mondrian's Neo-plastic paintings. Bolotowsky translated his interest in pure geometric form and color into columnar sculptures, exploring balance in three-dimensions as Mondrian did in two.
Physical DescriptionThis piece consists of several long, thin clear plexiglass panels with red, black and blue vertical stripes, which have slots in them so they fit together with similar panels to form cross-shaped columnar structures.
