In the foreground of the image several rectangular gravesites are marked with wooden barricades. Behind them, separated by a wooden fence, appears a series of rolling hills, uninterrupted by houses or other man-made structures.
Ward's Cemetery is the third print from a series of twelve that document the ghost town of Bodie, now a National Historic Landmark.
