A sketch of a hillside in the background, seen through the trees. The trees heights are low on the left, leaving the left corner of the image open, and extending taller towards the top of the page as they move right. Between the far right tree and the second to the right is a woman, about 1/5 the size of the tree she stands against. About halfway up the trunk, between the same two trees is a square structure with one darkened window in the middle and a dark scribble to the right of it.

There is a a cloud in the upper half of the left side of the image, just barely extending into the tree foliage, also very faint in tone.

This black and white etching depicts a winter scene along a harbor. A line of many boats with high masts separates the water from the land at a diagonal from the lower right corner up to the center of the horizon line. On the left side of the horizon line there is a row of tall buildings. On the left and center in the mid-ground are crowds of figures and horse-drawn carriages along the snowy shore. The upper two-thirds of the composition are devoted to the lightly crosshatched sky. <br />

This work is a double sided, mixed-media creation. One side is dominated by a large grey form in the shape of an upside down house. At the top, brightly colored strips of paper are woven into the grey area. The lower half of the background is a bright yellow and deep purple. Around the edges, geometric squares and circles of red, orange, green, and blue have been stamped in ink. Thin lines form circular and hexagonal shapes in the lower corners as well. The reverse side shows a black and grey checkerboard pattern, overlaid with geometric shapes in the upper portion in blues, oranges, yellows, reds, and greens. There are also dark semi-circles forming a border around the image. Stitching cuts across the work, in a large "U" shape, reach down towards the bottom of edge of the work.
