This installation is composed of a group of gelatin silver prints that are hung on the wall with sixty-four light bulbs strung throughout, a web of hanging electric cables connecting them.  In the center hang three larger photos of young people's faces. Above each and below the center image are smaller versions of similar portrait photographs. Four of these smaller photos are also arranged in the line of the large photographs, one on each end, and two separating the larger pictures.

In this dark print a young man and a woman stand together. The man's left arm is draped across the woman's shoulders. The man wears a t-shirt tucked into pants with the text "WASTED YOUTH." The man's right arm is bent at the elbow, and he makes a hand gesture with his right hand. The woman has curly hair that falls below her shoulders, she wears a t-shirt and pants. There is a green rectangular flap across her chest that has an outline drawing of breasts. The woman's arms are down at her side. The colors used in this print are green, purple, orange, pink, and black.

This ovoid, wooden Bembe mask depicts a human face. The right half of the face, however, has been painted black, creating a bifurcated appearance. Its facial characteristics include large, almond-shape eyes set in rounded, ocular cavities; a slender nose; and, an open mouth painted white. Most striking, however, are the long, black and white porcupine quills that have been carefully tied around the mask’s perimeter, yielding a dramatic, formidable look.

This wooden, zoomorphic Bembe <em>alunga</em> mask represents an owl. The mask has an elongated, bell-shaped form, with much of its base pigmented black. The owl has two white, oval-shaped, concave oracular cavities with protruding, half-moon eyes and a long, narrow beak. The foot of the mask features two serpents that have been carved in relief and painted red, both of which are surrounded by white, geometric motifs.

Wooden mask in the form of a female head. The face has traces of white pigment and the lips, nose, eyebrows, and chin are defined with black pigment. There are three small dots in a column on each side of the face. The hair is decorated with spiral designs. Four conical protrusions topped with knobs form the crest of the hairstyle, while four spiral cones curve down from the crest on either side of the head; the two closest to the front on each side are connected at the bottom.
