Subject matter
Mel DiGiacomo is a multifaceted photographer, known for his tennis photographs. He has a large body of work containing wedding photographs that capture candid but compelling moments. Known for capturing fleeting emotion, DiGiacomo has a very diverse range of subject matter. This photograph illustrates his ability to capture candid moments. In this image, three figures stand in a doorway leading out to a lawn. On the left, the third figure is obscured by shadow, looking out at a young woman and a younger boy, who looks up with concern or confusion at the young woman, probably his sister.
