Credit LineGift of Mr. and Mrs. James Agah, Class of 1989 (BBA)Subject matterThis photograph shows the beach at low tide, with sandbars stretching from the foreground to the horizon. A small ridge of rocks jut diagonally through the center of the image, leading the eye into the background of the image. The sea in the middleground appears as a Martian terrain. Strewn about are pockets of water and boats that have been moored. In contrast to the strange barenness of the seascape, the dark ominous clouds low in the sky, just above the horizon line, give a strange impression of liquid turbulence weighing down on the scene.
Physical DescriptionImage of beach at dusk with red-clay colored sand and a line of rocks reaching diagonally across the middleground of the image.
