Subject matter
Actor Iwai Shijaku I, also known as Iwai Hanshirō VII, was the oldest son of Iwai Hanshirō V.  He was born in 1804 and died in 1845.

Physical Description
This print is a portrait of a woman against a blue background.  Her hair is decorated with large pins, and she wears a striped robe.  There are lines of calligraphy in the space above the portrait. The portrait is framed in a mirror.
