Subject matter
Actor Ichikawa Danjūrō VII was born in 1791.  He began acting in kabuki at the age of four.  He was known for a wide variety of role types.  He held the name Danjūrō from 1800 to 1833.  He died in 1859.

Physical Description
The woman in this print is hunched over, showing her back to the viewer and holding a sandal behind her.  She wears a white outer robe with colourful leaves and stands under a flowering tree.
