Subject matter
This play was only performed in 1874, and very little is known about it. 

Physical Description
In the center, a woman holds a folded umbrella against a dark background.  She wears a brightly colored robe tied with a black sash.  In front of her, an arm appearing from off the print holds out an unsheathed sword.

This is the left panel of a triptych (with 2003/1.417.2 and 2003/1.417.3).
