Subject matter
This print is part of Pascin's Cinderella Series. There are variations of the Cinderella folk tale in a number of culures around the world. This shows the Prince's ball which Pascin has portrayed in pastels, as a lively scene of festive activity, exaggerated by the dynamic, vertical composition. The prince is, apparently, the man in grey sitting close to Cinderella at the center of the bottom tier of figures, with long, extremely horizontal hair.

Physical Description
This is a scene of formally dressed men, women, and serving people scattered around a large room, talking and eating.
