This squat bowl is not smooth but has subtle irregularities in texture and shape, intentionally highlighted by the brilliant red glaze.

The print depicts a two-story structure on the right and receeding back, which has a lower wall to the left. There are figures in a long row boat in the foreground and a series of standing and laying nude women on the stairs in front of the building. Other figures can be seen on the balcony of the building. The print is signed (l.r.) "Bernard Leach" and located and dated (l.l.) "Japan '10" in pencil.

This ceramics sculpture is in the shape of a femur bone. The glazing creates a series of dark cracks and fissures.

A plump sparrow is perching on a bamboo branch, which is bending from the main branch on the left side of the painting. The bamboo has young and mature leaves. The background is left as blank. The mounting is made of creamy silk brocade with blue green silk brocade strips. Brown brocade pieces are pasted on the top and the bottom of the mounting. There is a seal in red ink on the left corner. Wrinkles on the top and right lower side of the bid; some smaller worm holes and one large hole underneath the bird, but all repaired.

This ceramic sculpture has a base comprised of four rectangular pieces that create a box, topped with three perpendicularly-placed rectangles. It is topped with four curved segments. The sculpture is signed "Piepenburg" in the clay.
