Though this painting was not dated, it should be most possibly painted after Chang moved to Michigan in 1974. Perhaps it is because of the cold winter, during this time, Chang created many works on landscape of snow. This is a scene of clearing after snow.

A scene of geese in pond and on sandbars. The geese are congregated in the lower left hand side of the painting, as are most of the reeds growing from the sand bars. Some geese can also be seen flying in the middle of the painting, though they are not as prominent. Five lines of calligraphy are lcoated in the upper right of the painting.

In this snowy scene a plum tree and rock seem are seen atop a hill.  The elegant, contorted trunk and branches of the tree create a visual arch over the image, framing the rock, snow, and block of calligraphic text below.
