A tall ceramic bowl with a flared mouth. A flat bottom sits on a narrow base and a 90 degree angle creates the bowl itself. Rough red matte ceramic, no glaze. Spattered lines of lighter tan color.

In the bottom third of the painting is a portrait of a man looking to the left (of the viewer's pov). Above him are two separate sections of inscriptions. The one on the right is toward the middle of the length of the page and is two lines. Directly above it is two red seals. To the left of the seals begins the second inscription written in five lines and larger characters. At the upper left is a red seal slightly obscured by the five-line inscription.
